Garden lighting and power installation completed
20th July 2009

AJP Services have recently finished fitting an extensive lighting and outside power installation in a large garden in Mid-Devon.  The installation consisted of a series of remote controlled lights designed to highlight key features of the garden, as well as light the main sitting out areas, and provide fully splashproof power sockets for general use up to 50m from the main house.

The lighting was installed to highlight, from underneath, the largest of the garden's very attractive trees to give depth and width to the view at night, and to provide a soft controllable light for sitting out under.  All lights are controlled by a 4 channel wireless remote that allows each cluster to be dimmed separately or in groups to provide programmable "moods".

There were even controllable downlighters fitted to highlight the stream at the end of the garden.  The power sockets allow for the use of any standard 13A plug equipment in all weathers (if closed over something plugged in they remain fully splashproof) and were sited to be out of sight whilst being easily accessible.

A separate supply was also installed for the heater and pump of the summer pool.  Drawing on AJP Services' considerable outside wiring experience, the supplies were modified to provide the latest safety features whilst reducing the chances of nuisance tripping of the main trip switch.  Once again the installation was completed on time and within the quoted budget, as is the norm with AJP Services.  If you would like to talk to us about your garden or outside lighting and power needs please call on 01884 266376.

Farm buildings rewire
11th June 2009

AJP services recently completed a rewire of some farm buildings in Combe Raleigh, near Honiton, Devon.  The rewire consisted of removing the old electrical equipment (which was rusty in many cases) and installing a new 3 phase (TPN) supply via a main three phase (TPN) distribution board.

A 2 way switch was incorporated that allows for the installation of a standby generator if required.  The barns were fitted with splashproof power sockets and low energy lighting (that provisdes a lot of light for minimal energy consumtion - very economical) and supplies were laid on for mobile chicken sheds and a mobile home.

The whole system can be easily expanded if required, and safety was built in at every stage. As always, everything was in accordance with the electrical regulations, and AJP services fully certified the whole installation as part of the package.

The installation was completed a day early and for less than quoted, allowing water supplies to installed as well all within the agreed price and timescale.
